How Airocide® Air Purifiers by Sterilumen Work
Airocide’s patented Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) UV light technology completely traps and destroys harmful and odor-producing airborne virus microbes that cannot be caught by HEPA filters.
A photocatalyst incorporating TiO2 is used in the Airocide air
cleaner system. When this material is irradiated with the photons from our proprietary UV lights, hydroxyl radicals are formed, which reduce to trace elements of carbon dioxide and water.
Airborne virus bacteria, including COVID-19, mold, pathogens and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), are absorbed on the catalyst surface. Absolutely safe, Airocide air purifiers emit no ozone or harmful chemicals.
